Ethereal Rain and Jump (two poems)

Ethereal Rain

The fresh laid rain on the ground
Shine as the cover breaks- west
It is to be a most glorious dusk
Sundown over the Island
The sun emerges from its cozy blanket
to bid us here--on earth--goodnight
Adieu to you too

The clouds peel back and the sun radiates
Basking everything in its soft glow
(Ra is watching, ever vigilant)
The sweet scent of rain permeates
Brilliant gold luster in dusk's final rays

A perfect, beautiful rainbow- north
It's end in sight
No need to seek leprechaun gold
Look around
Inhale and absorb
True elegance and richness is the sun's

Jump

Don't you wanna jump from a cliff
Not a death wish
The highest cliff you can find
Not a cliff of the mind
No metaphor implied
But a real cliff, cliff of stone
Limestone sandstone any old stone
Miles and miles high

Jump
Not to die
But to find life
Maybe meet god

Unsupported, no-parachute
No life-line
Relax, let go
There is no death
(illusory concept entrenched)

Want this whole leap
Do it
Just jump
Go on man, jump, jump
I won't catch you
I promise
